On TVW this week: Health exchange update, climate change workgroup, behavioral health issues

Here’s a look at what we’re covering on TVW this week:

Monday Oct. 14 at 10 a.m.: The Climate Legislative and Executive Workgroup is meeting to discuss the final evaluation report (agenda). TVW will air the meeting live on television and the web.

Tuesday Oct. 15 at 10 a.m.: Lawmakers on a health committee will get an update on the state’s health insurance exchange, Washington Healthplanfinder, as well as an update on Medicaid expansion. Watch the live TVW webcast here.

Wednesday Oct. 16 at 10 a.m.: The Liquor Control Board may adopt the update proposed rules for legal marijuana. TVW will live webcast at this link.

Wednesday Oct. 16 at 7 & 10 p.m.: On The Impact this week, host Anita Kissee has the latest details from a scoping hearing for a proposed coal terminal in Longview. Plus, go inside a marijuana testing lab to see what they’re looking for when it comes to safety and potency, and how they’re being impacted by state delays.

Thursday Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.: TVW will live webcast a debate moderated by Enrique Cerna about Initiative 522, which would require labels on genetically modified food. Watch the live webcast at this link.

Thursday Oct. 17 at 7 & 10 p.m.: This week’s Inside Olympia is about healthcare. Guests include Washington Health Benefit Exchange CEO Richard Onizuka, as well as Dorothy Teeter and Karen Merrikin of the Washington State Health Care Authority.
