Here’s the latest from Jennifer Huntley about tonight’s edition of The Impact, which airs at 7 and 10 p.m. on TVW:

The Federal Way school district says Washington state schools are funded unequally. The district’s school funding lawsuit made its way to the Washington Supreme Court this week, after the state appealed an earlier verdict in the case. We’ll explain the history of the lawsuit and ask the question: If Federal Way wins in court, how soon would changes come to the state’s funding of public schools? Joining us on-set are: Federal Way Chief Financial Officer Sally McLean and State Representative Skip Priest.

Also: the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges voted for an emergency declaration that would fast track any lay-offs of community college tenured faculty. Find out more about why they made this decision and the response from the Washington chapter of the American Federation of Teachers.

Again, watch tonight at 7 and 10 p.m. on TVW.
