WSU: 359 jobs, some programs gone

Washington State University has announced that it will eliminate some programs — including German — and 359 jobs will be gone because of $54 million in budget cuts. Read all about it here.

Though German will be gone, sports management will continue. That program had been slated to be cut.

The new fiscal year — the one funded by the 2009-2011 budget passed this session, begins July 1, so we’ll be hearing more about how agencies and universities are coping. Stay tuned.
