Sen. Don Benton drops out of race for Murray’s seat, endorses Rossi

Last night, state Sen. Don Benton dropped out of the race for U.S. Sen. Patty Murray’s seat and gave his endorsement to Dino Rossi, who announced last week that he would run.

Benton, who has served in the Senate for almost 15 years, said he would serve as an unpaid senior adviser to Rossi’s campaign, according to Jordan Schrader at The News Tribune. Read his full post here.
