TVW PODCASTS
What is a TVW podcast?
TVW podcasts are downloadable audio files, in mp3 format, of TVW programs. TVW podcasts can be played on a personal mp3 player, like an iPod. Once you've downloaded a TVW podcast, you can listen to it anywhere you take your mp3 player (on the bus, for example), making them a convenient way to stay up-to-date on TVW programs. (Note: you can also listen to them directly on your computer, without the mp3 player.)
How do I get TVW podcasts?
An easy way to get a TVW podcast is to subscribe to a RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed of that podcast. Once you subscribe to an RSS feed, new podcasts are automatically added to your existing collection of podcasts. To get an RSS feed:
- Click on any of the orange RSS buttons (
) you see on the TVW website. - Copy the URL of that RSS feed page (for example, http://www.tvw.org/ds/podcastRss.cfm?ContentCode=I) to your clipboard
- Paste it to the appropriate area of your podcast software (for example, in iTunes select Advanced, then Subscribe to a Podcast, and paste the URL in that box. See your podcast software's help section for further instruction on subscribing to a podcast feed). Examples of podcast software include iTunes, @Podder, jPodder, and iPodderX
You can also listen to the mp3 file of the program directly on the podcast feed page by clicking on the mp3 file link on that page.
