The Verizon Foundation funds programs that address the heart of social issues, improves lives by sparking literacy, lifelong learning and success for the 21st century. We are the philanthropic entity of Verizon Communications.


Our goal: To improve literacy and strengthen educational achievement for children and adults - preparing them for personal growth and success.

  • Thinkfinity - A free website designed to improve learning in and beyond the classroom through a robust simple to use search engine and high-caliber content and professional development produced by top notch content partners like the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the National Geographic Society and ProLiteracy Worldwide among others.


  • Literacy - Verizon Foundation is investing in online resources, community-based initiatives and national programs that teach non readers to read and advance the complex skills necessary for educational achievement and job success.

We understand that education and literacy do not begin or end in the classroom. We're investing in programs and vehicles to reach every type of learner across the lifespan. Take a look at Thinkfinity.org, the Thinkfinity Literacy Network and some of the other strategic programs we support.
