Search Tips:

• Try using less specific search terms, different word combinations or simpler keywords to return a larger result set.
• Remove punctuation from your search term.
• Narrow your search by using key codes. Use a Plus "+" for "AND" and "|" for "OR" statements, with words or phrases to search on (example: Health + Housing | HB 2563 would mean the literal: find events with "Health AND Housing OR HB 2563" in the descriptions, titles, and summaries)"
• If you’re looking for a specific house or senate bill information, try just entering the bill number and not its abbreviation. More results for that bill will be displayed (example: 2563 not HB2563, or SSHB2563) If you are looking for a bills branch version, use a space between the bill number and it’s abbreviated branch (example: HB 2563 NOT HB2563)
• If you are looking for a specific committee that a bill was discussed you can try our advanced search page OR track the bill on http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo then use our archives page to select the meetings and dates you found the bill was discussed.
• You may wish to try searching for the event by its title as this is the easiest way to locate events in the archives.
• Also, don't forget that browsing the archives will usually help you find events that you can't seem to locate through the search interface.
