‘The Impact’ returns from hiatus on Wednesday with new episode on fish passage

The Impact” returns from summer hiatus on Wednesday with a new episode about the first-of-its-kind fish passage project on the Cle Elum dam.

Host Anita Kissee shows how the new fish passage is part of an effort to restore sockeye 100 years after the species was wiped out. The show also explores other projects included in the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan.

Interviews include Derek Sandison of the Dept. of Agriculture, Phil Rigdon of the Yakama Nation and Rep. Hans Dunshee, chair of the House Capital Budget Committee.

The show airs on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 7 & 10 p.m.
