This week on “The Impact”:

As active wildfires ravage the state we sit down with the Commissioner of Public Lands to discuss the scope of the damage and the path ahead.

“They’re kindling boxes, right? And all we need is one lightning strike and it quickly becomes a very large significant fire,” Hilary Franz, Commissioner of Public Lands, Washington Department of Natural Resources.

Also in this episode, Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson weighs in on a flurry of state and federal cases on everything from marijuana law to immigration.

“Just seems especially cruel and inhumane to me and I’m going to do everything I can to stop it,” Bob Ferguson, Washington State Attorney General.

In other news we look at the big announcement from Amazon that’s drawing mixed reactions from state lawmakers and how the state is responding to conflicts between Washington wolf packs and ranchers.
