This week on “The Impact”:

 With the Democratic caucus taking control of the Washington State Senate we sit down with the incoming majority leader for a preview of what to expect.

 “We’ve had 5 years of republican control,” said Sen. Sharon Nelson, D- Maury Island. “We have a 60 day session. We have a lot that we can pass that’s already on our plate: equal pay for equal work, the voting rights act, reproductive parity.”

The Senate Republican leader also shares his predictions about the new power dynamic.

“Unsustainable spending that’s been the pattern in the past I fear that it could be the pattern again,” said Sen Mark Schoesler, R- Ritzville.
